The Smart Asthma app works with the Smart Peak Flow device. If you are not using the app as part of a clinical trial, please make sure the Smart Peak Flow device has gained regulatory approval in your country. The Smart Peak Flow device is officially registered and can be marketed in the following countries as a medical device:

In the countries where the Smart Peak Flow peak flow meter does not have the regulatory approval, the hardware along with the software is not considered as a medical device. In these countries the Smart Asthma app can be still downloaded and be used without the Smart Peak Flow device at the user's own risk.

The data from the combined use of the app and the Smart Peak Flow device only provide the healthcare professional with useful information about the condition of the patient on the basis of which the prescribed treatment can be modified or the medication can be set accordingly.
