The DackMap App is your complete guide for recreating and relaxing during your stay in the Adirondack Park. Whether you are looking for nearby hiking trails, local events, places to stay, or the rustic general store on main street, we have you covered. The map is frequently updated through internal constant revisions and user input to make sure that we are bringing you the most up-to-date ways to enjoy the Adirondack Park.

Popular features on the app include but are not limited to checking the capacity status of select parking lots in the Adirondack Park, tracking hiking challenges, and interacting with the Adirondack community on the activity feed.

DACKPOINTS
Accumulate DackPoints to improve your reputation in the Adirondack community by leaving reviews, adding pins, and completing challenges.

OFFLINE DOWNLOAD
We know the cell service in the park is spotty so we have given users the option to download the entire Adirondack Park map for offline use.

REVIEWS
Leave reviews on every type of pin on the map to collect DackPoints and interact with the community.

ADD PINS
Expedition Users are able to add local pins for their eyes only or share them with friends. We also have given users the ability to add pins for approval just in case we missed something.

USER ACCOUNTS
With a user account, you have access to an account dashboard where you can track and save challenges, look at past tracks, scroll through your reviews, access outdoor education information, download the map for offline use, and upgrade to DackMap Expedition.

FILTER
Just looking for accommodations or hiking? Filter your map to only see the type of pins you are interested in.

PARKING CAPACITY
We’ve partnered with the Adirondack Mountain Club and the Town of Keene to provide the user with live parking updates at three popular locations; the Heart Lake Program Center, Roostercomb Trailhead, and the Garden. When users click on the associated parking pin on the app, they will be able to see if the parking lot is empty, almost empty, half full, almost full, or full. This information is intended to help hikers make decisions about where they want to hike before arriving at the trailhead.
