Digital Wellbeing and Parental Controls descripción

It's an undeniable fact - we spend a lot of time on our phones or tablets. If you are worried that you're spending too much time looking at a screen, the new and improved Digital wellbeing feature on One UI 2 can monitor your usage times and even set timers for some apps. Take advantage of this helpful tool so you can take control your digital habits.

A daily review of your digital habits
View the history of your device usage and use features to prevent your device from interfering with your life.
On the Settings screen, tap Digital Wellbeing and parental controls.

Digital Wellbeing and parental controls
Digital Wellbeing is a feature which shows apps dashboard through which one can see how much time any application opened and also swiping to different screens allows you to see breakdowns by day, by hour and by app.

● Dashboard
helps you better understand how you use your device, how much time you spend on different apps over time, how many times you unlock your device, and how many interruptive notifications you receive per each apps.

●Your goals
- Screen time: set goals for how much you use your device a day.
- App timers: limit the daily usage time for each app by setting a timer. When you reach the limit, the app will be deactivated and you cannot use it.

● Ways to disconnect
- Focus mode : activate focus mode to avoid distractions from your device and stay focused on what you want. You can use the apps you allowed to be used in focus mode.
- Bedtime mode: turns the screen to grayscale to reduce eye strain before sleeping and triggers DND to prevent your sleep from being disturbed.

● Comport care
- Volume monitor: activate the volume monitor to protect your hearing. (This feature may not be shown on each device’s hardware specification.)

- Weekly report: illustrates your last week's digital habits.

You can also set up parental controls for your children and manage their digital use.

● Check on your kids
- Parental controls: manage your children’s digital use.

Think of the digital wellbeing feature as a budget, but for digital habits instead of spending habits.
- From the Digital wellbeing and parental controls home screen, tap App timers.
- Tap the drop-down arrow next to your desired app, and then select your desired amount of time. Or, tap Custom to set your own.

Use wind down mode
Tap Wind Down.
Tap Set a schedule, and then tap the switch to turn it on.
Choose your desired day and time for using Wind Down.

Use Focus Mode
- If it is the first time using this feature, you will have to tap Digital wellbeing to proceed. Tap the options for Work time, Me time, or Add under Focus mode.

Parental controls
Select Child or Teen, or Parent, depending on the device’s user.
