Moon Wallpapers descripción

No other moon is as large as the Moon when compared to the planet it orbits. So how did the Earth have such a large satellite? Earth's Moon, still holds many secrets. We can only see one side of the Moon from Earth. The Moon affects the tide in the seas when animals mate, and even humans sleep.

However, no one had been to the Moon until 1969. So far, only 12 people have gone. Thanks to both these astronaut visits and uncrewed spacecraft, we learned a lot about the structure of the Moon. But we still cannot answer the question of where the Moon came from. Did it break away from Earth, or did it enter Earth's gravitational field and start spinning around us as it wandered through the solar system? Or was there another explosion that led to its formation? With the telescope made by the famous physicist and astronomer Galileo Galilei, the opportunity to see the Moon in detail, albeit from afar, arose for the first time.

In the early 1600s, Galileo revealed that the Moon, like the Earth, consists of plains and mountains. This indicated that they both formed together. In the 1800s, Charles Darwin's son, George, said that while the Earth was spinning rapidly in the early days, a part of it broke off and formed the Moon. The Pacific Ocean bore the trace of this rupture.

First of all, let's talk about the physical characteristics of the Moon: Its diameter is 3,475 km, and its mass is about one-100th of the Earth. The distance of the Moon from the Earth is 384,400 km, and it completes its orbit of the Earth in 27.3 days, and the phases of the Moon repeating every 29.5 days. The surface temperature of the Moon can drop to -233°C or rise to 123°C.
