Shmapped descripción
Map the good things about your surroundings and help improve wellbeing and urban spaces. Shmapped is a free app which allows you to map the good things about your surroundings. Shmapped is part of a
project between Derby and Sheffield universities and the Wildlife Trust that will:
Help us to understand how urban living affects our wellbeing,
Help people enjoy their surroundings,
Help our town planners to design better spaces to improve our wellbeing.
After downloading Shmapped, you will be asked to complete a few questions about wellbeing and your feelings about green spaces and built spaces. Once a day you will be asked to notice your
surroundings and write short notes about them. In the background, Shmapped will map the green spaces you encounter helping us to see how urban green spaces affect our wellbeing. If you like you can
share notes, photos or the location of your good things and help other people in your area notice the good things about your surroundings. We would like you to do this for 1 month and then complete
the same questions about wellbeing to see if noticing the good things about our surroundings changes our wellbeing. If you complete the study, you’ll get the chance to enter a prize draw to win a
voucher ranging from £25 to £500 with a 1 in 16 chance of winning.
